For this shoot, I travelled to Bolton to film the Ironman 70.3 UK event on behalf of production company Dojo Films. I worked as part of a three person crew, alongside another videographer and an on site editor. From early morning, we filmed athlete preparation, race start and full event coverage throughout the day, capturing both the intensity of the competition and the atmosphere from the crowd. Throughout the shoot, we regularly offloaded footage to the on site editor so he could begin live editing the highlights package for the evening awards ceremony. This required fast, efficient filming with a focus on capturing key moments. We also filmed establishing shots of Bolton and the surrounding areas to help set the scene and show the scale of the event.

I travelled to Brentwood, Essex, to provide film an episode of the BBC’s Eddie Hearn: No Passion, No Point podcast featuring UK rapper and actor Bugzy Malone. In the episode, Bugzy Malone spoke openly about his upbringing in Manchester, the challenges he faced growing up and how those experiences shaped both his mindset and career. The overall feel of the production was designed to keep the conversation relaxed and natural, while still giving it a polished broadcast look. This was a freelance camera operation project where I handled the full on location setup, including lighting the space and operating a three camera setup throughout the interview. Having freelanced for Matchroom Boxing for several years, I’m very comfortable working in fast paced production environments where you need to work on your own initiative, react quickly and consistently capture high quality footage.
